Santa Rosa, California. – Pat LaFortune has been identified as the man killed in a multi-vehicle crash in Santa Rosa early Thursday morning that killed nine other people.

The fatal crash occurred around 11:50 a.m. on Highway 12 near Fulton Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

According to sources, a large truck failed to stop on Highway 12 while approaching a traffic light, which resulted in an accident involving eleven vehicles.

The truck driven by LaFortune caught fire after the crash.

According to the Santa Rosa Fire Department, LaFortune died in the accident.

He was a long-time teacher and coach at Cardinal Newman High School in Santa Rosa.

Three people suffered serious injuries and six suffered minor injuries and were transported to three different hospitals in Sonoma County.
