Police are appealing for information after footage of a man holding a knife in his hand went viral online.

Footage from Brighton shows a man holding on to the back of a moving bus while clutching a large knife.

The man tried to get up several times to look into the back of the bus and then struck him in the back of the bus with the gun.

Sussex Police said they were working with Brighton and Hove Buses to obtain further information about the man in the footage.

A Sussex Police spokesman said in a statement: “We would appeal to anyone who witnessed this incident, has video evidence or recognises the individual to come forward immediately.”

In May, a teenager was spotted riding unattended at the back of a double-decker bus in west London.

The teenager decided to go surfing on the back of a bus on Lansbury Drive in Hayes, west London.

He grabbed the back of a number 90 bus that was racing down a residential street with a 30 mph speed limit.

The footage shows him desperately holding on, but still slipping. The boy eventually lost his grip but managed to stay upright, landing on the ground.
