Houston, Texas – The Houston Police Department is investigating after what they said was a tense moment between two people that ended with a shooting in the city’s northeast area where children were staying.

The situation occurred on Saturday around 10:30 p.m. at 10100 Valley Club. Police say it started when a man came to the house to bring children who were believed to be living there.

The shot man then fled the scene down Tidwell, asking for help, and managed to stop officers in the area.

HPD says the suspect was arrested without incident.

The services did not confirm who the woman was, but assured that she was not involved in the first incident.

Both victims were taken to hospital and their condition is stable.

Nothing happened to the children in the house. The services did not explain the connection between the two victims and the man who opened fire.
