Meerut Girl: 13-year-old Meerut girl runs away with brother and boyfriend to escape repeated rape by father | Meerut News

Meerut: A 13-year-old girl fled from her home in a village in Meerut district along with her younger brother and her 20-year-old male friend after she was allegedly raped by her father for two months to escape repeated attacks . Police arrested both the father and the boyfriend on Saturday and sent the girl to a government shelter.
The girl’s father, 50, filed a complaint accusing someone of kidnapping his children. This led to the police recovering the minors and arresting the friend. Police said the father had been sexually abusing his daughter since August. When questioned, the girl revealed her ordeal. The father and boyfriend were sent to jail after their court appearance. The police have recorded the girl’s statement and she will soon testify in court.
SP (Rural) Rakesh Kumar Mishra told TOI: “During preliminary investigation, the minor revealed that her father had been abusing her for over two months. Her mother, who works as a laborer, is regularly away from events, leaving the children in their own home. The girl initially confided in her mother, who confronted her husband. He promised to stop, but continued the abuse and forced the girl to take action.
Mishra added, “The minor, deeply distressed, asked her male friend for help and decided to run away, taking her 11-year-old brother with her. Her father’s complaint prompted us to quickly track down and retrieve the children. exposed her father’s actions, which led to his arrest.”
