Maharashtra: Three teachers abuse a girl in Mumbai; two arrested, one on the run

A 13-year-old girl was sexually assaulted multiple times by three of her teachers, police said. Although two suspects have been arrested, one is currently on the run.

According to police, the suspects – Gautam, Tarun Rajpurohit and Satya Raj – not only sexually assaulted her but also showed her explicit images and videos.

Gautam and Tarun Rajpurohit were arrested on September 28 and will remain in custody till Monday. Attempts are being made to arrest Satya Raj.

“They did it repeatedly. Her mother was initially hesitant to file a complaint, but the counselor had to convince her. We recorded the girl’s statement. The suspect took her to the bedroom and showed inappropriate and explicit images and videos,” said a spokesperson. said police official.

According to police, the suspect committed this act several times, taking advantage of the girl’s vulnerable situation due to her parents’ divorce and the lack of a male presence at home.

The suspects have been charged under sections 354 (assault/criminal force with intent to outrage one’s modesty), 376 (2) (rape), 377 (unnatural sex) and 12, 4 and 8 of the Pocso Act.
