Man charged after surgery in Dublin

A man has been charged after police seized gold bullion, cash and suspected cocaine during a two-day search operation in the Republic of Ireland.

The 50-year-old man is expected to appear in court in Dublin on Monday, September 30.

The searches took place on Thursday and Friday at residential and business premises in Dublin.

Police recovered €1.4m (£1.2m) worth of gold, €460,000 (£384,000) in cash and €210,000 (£175,000) in suspected cocaine.
