Houston Dynamo FC clinches playoff berth for 2024 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs

SEATTLE, Wash. (KTRK) — I still hold on.

On Saturday night, the Houston Dynamo clinched a spot in the 2024 Audi Cup MLS Playoffs.

Houston won after FC Dallas’ 3-1 loss to Orlando City SC on Saturday. For the first time since 2013, Houston now advances to the playoffs for the second year in a row.

The Dynamo take on the Seattle Sounders on the road at Lumen Field on Saturday night. Houston currently sits in fifth place in the Western Conference.

Under the leadership of Dynamo head coach Ben Olsen, the team won its second Lamar Hunt US Open Cup and fourth national championship last season. The team also advanced to the Western Conference Finals and qualified for the MLS Cup Playoffs for the first time since 2017.
