A dry start to the weekend, with showers returning on Sunday

The serious threat has passed, but showers are possible overnight. Clouds and scattered showers will change to sunny skies early Saturday morning. Sunshine is taking us into the 80s, with some of them likely even reaching the upper 80s. Humidity looks a bit lower, but a low heat index is still expected. The upper level low that absorbed Helene will bring clouds and showers back into our forecast Sunday into Tuesday. The rain will not be heavy and will not fall all day, every day. Nicer weather will try to improve towards the end of the week.
