Oregon police investigate ‘alleged threats of violence’ against Oregon High School

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – The Oregon Police Department is investigating an alleged threat of violence against Oregon High School that is reportedly planned for Friday, September 20.

The threat was discovered on social media and is being investigated by investigators in conjunction with the Oregon School District and the FBI’s Rockford office, Oregon State Police said Wednesday.

As a precaution, all students suspected of being involved in the alleged threat will be withdrawn from school on Thursday while the investigation continues.

Oregon State Police say there is no immediate threat to the school and classes will continue as normal Thursday. There will be an increased police presence throughout the school day to ensure the safety of all staff and students.
