Fall is here, and American craft brewers are stepping up to the plate with an intriguing list of new beers to have on hand as the weather turns colder.

Bogged down (Ipswich, MA) – True North Ale Company is an award-winning New England brewery that continues to impress. Founded in 2017, the brewery has won numerous international awards, including a gold medal at the 2018 World Beer Cup and the 2023 Great American Beer Fest. They have just released a new addition to their 2024 Sour Series.

Brewed with cranberry and blood orange purees True Northeast of the Swamp Moon (great name!) is a 6.2% ABV Cranberry Sour with tart red fruits and a pronounced citrus note that gives way to a subtly spicy finish.

Beer Alert: New Cranberry Sours and Pumpkin AlesWest Coast (Paso Robles, CA) – There are beers that have proudly stood the test of time because they are simply that good. And Firestone Walker brews one of those classics.

Winner of numerous awards, including two consecutive wins at the Great American Beer Festival, Firestone Union Flag is a West Coast Style IPA beer with an alcohol content of 7% by volume, with distinct aromas of pineapple, citrus and pine, intense notes of grapefruit and mandarin, balanced with a hint of malt sweetness.

Union Jack is an IPA that helped pave the way for the revolutionary West Coast style. Named after the British Lion (David Walker) who co-founded the brewery with his brother-in-law Adam Firestone, Union Jack is hopped to the max but incredibly balanced from start to finish.

Hey Pumpkin (Booneville, CA) – Fall is here and Anderson Valley Brewing is back with something special to celebrate. Deep copper in color and creamy beige in head, Anderson Valley Fall Hornin’ Pumpkin Ale is a 6% ABV beer for the fall season, with a caramelized malt character and notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin and seasonal spices that accentuate the flavor but don’t overwhelm it.

Fall Hornin’ has gained a devoted following over the years and has become one of Anderson Valley Brewing’s most coveted seasonal releases. And it will soon hit retail in six-pack cans as well as on kegs.
