Off-duty Cuba police officer injured in late-night Cole County motorcycle crash

An off-duty Cuba, Mo., police officer was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash Saturday in Cole County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s online crash report states that Betty Post, 56, of Bourbon, was driving a 2021 Harley Davidson on Highway 54, west of Penny Hollow Road, at 10:45 pm.

The report states that Post lost control of the motorcycle.

She was thrown from the motorcycle, and the vehicle went off the left side of the road.

Cole County EMS took Post to University Hospital.

The Chief Mason Griffith Foundation announced a fundraiser to help Post.
