Hockey doctor is facing new charges for allegedly soliciting explicit photos from teenagers

A local doctor accused of sexually assaulting multiple teenage boys is facing more charges.

Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald announced the new charges against 68-year-old Zvi Levran on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. The new charges stem from two separate incidents.

The first incident is said to have occurred in Farmington Hills between 2018 and 2019, where Levran allegedly took photos of his 16/17-year-old patient and then sent explicit photos to himself.

The second reportedly took place in Novi in ​​2020, when Levran allegedly requested an explicit video of his 16/17 year old patient.

He is charged in the relevant cases with child sexual abuse and possession of child sexual abuse material, and aggravated child sexual abuse and possession of child sexual abuse material.

Levran now faces a total of 28 charges in separate cases, and he was taken into custody in November 2022.

In other cases, Levran is accused of assaulting young male hockey players during medical exams in his home office.

In 2023, witnesses who spoke on behalf of Levran at a hearing depicted a pattern of explicit and disturbing behavior.
