Man accused of raping a teenager in a nature area

A man has been accused of raping a young teenager in a natural area.

The girl, aged between 13 and 15, reported on Friday that she was attacked by an unknown man in the Deadwater Valley area of ​​Bordon, Hampshire.

Police said Oliver Smith, 21, of South Hurst, Bordon, was charged with rape, attempted rape, two offenses of false imprisonment, willful kidnapping, threatening with a knife and breaching a sexual harm risk prevention order.

He was summoned to appear before a judge in Portsmouth on Wednesday.

A 17-year-old boy from Bordon, initially arrested on suspicion of rape and possessing an offensive weapon, has been released without charge.

Officers said there would be an increased police presence in the area while investigations continue.
