A local man is dead following a three-vehicle crash on I-75 in Saginaw County

SAGINAW, MI – A local man was killed in a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 75 in Saginaw County over the weekend.

The collision was reported around 9:30 p.m., Saturday, September 28, on southbound I-75 near the I-675 exit in Kochville Township. Michigan State Troopers found a 2013 Jeep driven by a 32-year-old Saginaw man that overturned after the driver lost control of the vehicle.

The impact ejected the driver from the Jeep, which had no passengers.

A 42-year-old Saginaw man stopped to help an injured man. While out of his vehicle, he was struck by a 2004 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck driven by a 63-year-old Saginaw man. The Colorado also struck a 2007 Honda Civic that was stopped near the scene.

A 31-year-old Midland woman driving the Civic suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

According to the police, a 32-year-old man died as a result of his injuries. A 42-year-old good Samaritan and the woman were taken to local hospitals for treatment, and the man’s condition is said to be critical.

The officers did not provide the name of the deceased. Their investigation remains ongoing.
